It was a real thrill to read an article about my Peggylicious children’s books and the adventures of Peggy and Archie in Cotswold Life on page 18. Cotswold Life’s November issue was all about Pets and had some great stories in the Cotswold Gallery. I particularly loved the photo of Rowenna Hill’s Cocker Saphie on Page 93 – they say you grow to look like your dog and in this case it’s certainly true. And of course Victoria Cronin and her 4 Springers were another favourite, but then I am spaniel mad!
Being a self published author is not just about writing the books, you need to be a jack of all trades. Promoting and marketing the books is just as important, as well as trying to find opportunities to promote them. It’s tough when you’re not at the point when you can devote all your time to it. I work as a freelance Marketing & PR Consultant, and have to fit Peggylicious into my day job, but one day…..
I’ll be writing posts on self publishing and book promotion over the next few weeks, I’ve learned a lot during the past 4 years and happy to help anyone who is on the same path.
